San Francisco, California
User Experience (UX) Designer

Our client is a group of passionate people who want to help their customers grow and succeed, through payment technology. Their mission is to drive the success of other software companies by giving them an easy way to accept payments on their platforms to more easily sell products and services directly to their end users. In addition to enabling new revenue streams, they also decrease development and operational costs and reduces risk through workflow-driven user interfaces, great decisioning technology, and more.

Our client is looking for their first UX designer to drive interaction and visual design for the core product experience. This is a senior individual contributor role with the future possibility of managing others as the company grows.

  • Work in a highly collaborative fashion with product, engineering, sales, customer engineering, and other teams including executives.
  • Drive longer-term design structuring projects to ensure we are building towards great overall solutions that have the right balance of power, flexibility, and scope, while still meeting needs today. Information architecture design will be a component in this.
  • Drive narrowly defined, tactical deliverables as product and engineering is building.
  • Use the tools you know best - whether sketches, wireframes, prototypes, designs, or code, and pounce on opportunities to sharpen the skills you’re looking to develop.
  • Spend quality time observing customer needs and pain points to drive your work.
  • Participate in design reviews and share your work regularly with product, design, and company leadership.
You’ll be a great fit for this role if you:
  • Think in systems and are able to extrapolate and extend shared patterns and behaviors.
  • Can reduce complex problems down to the right balance of flexibility, power, and ease of use.
  • Have experience designing for businesses and developers.
  • Care about the details, are excited about wrapping up open items and closing gaps, and keep pushing your work until is pixel-perfect.
  • Are skilled in explaining your work, process, and decisions to stakeholders.
  • Are an expert in either UI, UX, or visual design, but skilled in more disciplines across product design.
  • Are passionate about serving business customers and their individual users so these businesses can grow more effectively and efficiently.
  • Have 4 years relevant work experience.
