RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Senior UX Researcher should have a passion for uncovering user needs using a range of research techniques–but primarily focused on qualitative methods. We appreciate that user experience researchers can come from a variety of backgrounds. While specific experience is important, we are ultimately seeking a researcher who is empathetic toward and truly interested in people. He or She should be knowledgeable in usability best practices, information architecture, interaction design and user research methodologies, strong in user flows, user journey maps, personas, heuristic evaluations and other standard user research deliverables.
 
REQUIREMENTS:
  • Work closely with product teams and research managers to identify research topics
  • Design studies that address both user behavior and attitudes
  • Conduct research independently using a variety of qualitative and quantitative methods
  • Experience creating personas and integrating them within the product teams
  • Generate actionable insights that both fuel ideation and evaluate designs
  • Communicate results and illustrate findings in compelling and creative ways
  • Evangelize research internally and externally to diverse audiences
  • Planning, and developing user research studies for complex websites and mobile experiences
  • Expert in usability testing, user interviews, focus groups, friendship groups etc.
  • Expert knowledge and experience with heuristic and competitive assessments
  • Knowledge and experience developing user flows, journey maps, mental models
  • Expert at incorporating/recommending changes to designs best practices, standards etc.
  • Knowledge and experience in information architecture.
  • Knowledge and experience with accessibility guidelines
  • Knowledge and experience with interaction design concepts and principles
  • Has worked in an Agile-based user experience environment
  • Experience creating and training usability standards and principles
  • Experience analyzing and providing recommendations from disperse information sources
  • Ability to translate knowledge and ideas well across a variety of in-person conversations and through written communications
  • Ability to respond resourcefully to new demands, priorities and challenges
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
  • Works with others to build upon ideas and execute ideas
